Freight Sorter

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Freight Sorter to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting, organizing, and moving incoming and outgoing freight to ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Sort freight, packages, and materials according to destination, route, or shipment requirements Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers Move freight to designated staging and storage areas Verify shipping labels and identify damaged or incorrectly routed items Use pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards Follow warehouse procedures and workplace safety guidelines Assist with receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties as needed Work with team members to meet daily shipping and production goals Qualifications Previous warehouse, freight, shipping, or distribution experience is preferred but not required Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment Basic ability to read shipping labels and follow instructions Strong attention to detail and willingness to work as part of a team Pay: $23.30 - $28.10 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
