Freight Sales Executive

Win shippers, run your own book and get paid on every load with no cap on commission. Location: North Austin, TX. This is a hybrid role, in the office four days a week. It is not remote, and we don't offer relocation. About Skyline Skyline Transport Group is a family-owned, asset-based carrier and freight brokerage. Since 2004 we have run our own fleet of more than 150 tractors and trailers, hauling refrigerated, flatbed and dry van freight in all 48 states. We're adding freight sales executives in Austin who want to build a book of business and be paid for every dollar of it. What you get • Uncapped commission on the gross margin of every account you bring in. Your rate goes up as your monthly margin grows. • Your accounts stay yours. No house accounts. • Real capacity behind your quotes. We run our own trucks, so you can price lanes with confidence. • Support on every load. Our carrier sales team covers your freight, starting with our own fleet, and dispatch handles tracking. • A base salary of $3,000 to $4,000 a month, depending on experience, plus commission. What you'll do • Prospect manufacturers, distributors and food and beverage shippers, with a focus on refrigerated and flatbed freight. • Quote lanes, take tenders and be the person your shippers call. • Grow each relationship over time and win more of every customer's lanes. • Price using market rates and what our own fleet can run. What you need • At least one year in freight brokerage, a 3PL or a carrier, in sales, carrier sales or account management. Carrier sales reps ready to move to the customer side are encouraged to apply. • You know how freight is priced: DAT, Truckstop, spot versus contract, margin per load. • You like prospecting and you follow through. • You live in or near Austin. • Nice to have: refrigerated or flatbed experience, Spanish, and no non-solicit restrictions from a past employer. Schedule Full-time, in our North Austin office four days a week, with quarterly trips to our Vancouver, Washington office. Pay $3,000 to $4,000 a month base salary ($36,000 to $48,000 a year), depending on experience, plus uncapped commission on the gross margin of your accounts.
