Role Description The Freight Sales Associate is a full-time, hybrid role based in Hazleton, PA, with the flexibility to perform some duties from home. This position involves identifying and pursuing new freight customers, managing existing accounts, and promoting transportation services that meet client needs. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and cold calling, preparing rate quotes, negotiating pricing, and following up on leads to close sales. The role also requires maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, coordinating with operations and dispatch teams to ensure service delivery, and resolving customer inquiries or service issues. The Freight Sales Associate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align capacity with demand, support revenue growth, and meet individual and team sales targets. Qualifications Demonstrated ability in sales or account management, preferably in freight, logistics, or transportation services. Strong customer service and communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and relationship building. Basic proficiency with office and CRM software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, customer databases) and comfort working in a hybrid environment. Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize leads, manage multiple accounts, and meet deadlines. Analytical skills to evaluate pricing, margins, and shipment options and to present competitive and sustainable solutions to customers. High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability, with a focus on meeting sales goals and providing consistent service. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to adapt to changing freight markets and customer needs. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, logistics, or a related field is an asset. Previous experience in trucking, freight brokerage, or supply chain is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn the industry is essential.
