Job Summary A Freight Rating Specialist is responsible for determining, evaluating, and managing freight rates and classifications for transportation services, ensuring compliance with tariffs, contracts, and carrier agreements Responsibilities and Duties Good communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong computer skills Proven problem-solving skills Ability to follow direction Punctuality and consistent attendance Ability to work overtime as needed, or as directed by management Preferred minimum of 1 years’ experience in Freight Rating Must be able to set for long periods of time Ability to pass background check, TSA tests Qualifications and Skills Knowledge of freight classification systems and tariff structures Strong analytical and attention‑to‑detail skills for rate verification. Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
