Freight Operations Coordinator

CARGO EXPRESS OF SOUTH FLORIDA INC. is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Freight Operations Coordinator to manage shipment scheduling, dispatch coordination, freight tracking, and delivery operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and skilled at coordinating multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate freight shipments, pickups, deliveries, and transportation schedules. Communicate with drivers, carriers, brokers, customers, and warehouse teams. Track shipments and provide timely updates on delivery status and ETAs. Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and assist with load planning and carrier assignments. Prepare and maintain bills of lading, rate confirmations, invoices, and shipping records. Update shipment information in TMS and dispatch systems. Monitor freight costs, carrier performance, and logistics KPIs. Resolve delays, missed appointments, damaged freight, and documentation discrepancies. Support freight claims and maintain accurate incident records. Ensure compliance with company procedures, DOT/FMCSA regulations, and safety standards. Qualifications Previous experience in freight, logistics, dispatch, trucking, or transportation preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
