Freight Logistics Coordinator

Corrigan Moving Systems is hiring a full-time, on-site, experienced Freight Logistics Coordinator for our Grand Rapids, MI office. Corrigan Moving Systems is an award-winning company providing transportation, warehousing and complete project management for many high-end industries. We have been transporting goods for over 95 years and specialize in solving logistical challenges. As a Freight Logistics Coordinator with Corrigan, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistical coordination and management of freight and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of shipments, maintaining accuracy, and meeting customer delivery expectations. Our team deals with warehousing, final mile and transportation for our customer accounts. Freight Logistics Coordinator Key Responsibilities: · Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely and efficient processing · Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and external carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries · Track and monitor shipment statuses using logistics software and systems · Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements · Resolve issues related to freight discrepancies, damages, or delays promptly · Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and logistics activities Freight Logistics Coordinator Requirements: · 2+ years’ experience in logistics coordination · Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) with the ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively · Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors) · Ability to work independently and as a member of a team · Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment · Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills · Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices Freight Logistics Coordinator Benefits: · Medical, Dental and Vision available · Matching 401K · AD&D, FSA, Life Insurance · PTO and Holiday Pay Salary: 42,000 – 45,000 (DOE) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Logistics Coordinator: 1 year (Preferred) Freight Management: 1 year (Preferred) Inventory Management: 1 year (Preferred) Tracking & Tracing: 1 year (Preferred) Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49548 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
