Freight Forwarder Pricing Specialist

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Pricing Specialist to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will prepare accurate, competitive, and profitable air and ocean freight quotations, manage carrier and customer rates, and support sales, operations, and customer service teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced international logistics environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare spot quotations, RFQ responses, and customer-specific pricing for air and ocean freight. Obtain, compare, and negotiate rates with carriers, airlines, consolidators, overseas agents, and transportation providers. Analyze shipment requirements, routing options, transit times, and market conditions to recommend suitable pricing solutions. Maintain carrier rate sheets, contract rates, spot rates, and customer rates in CargoWise or other internal systems. Ensure quotations include accurate charges, surcharges, validity periods, inclusions/exclusions, and applicable terms. Conduct margin analysis and support pricing decisions that balance competitiveness with profitability. Collaborate with sales, operations, documentation, customer service, and overseas offices to resolve pricing-related questions. Monitor market trends, carrier rate changes, and surcharge updates affecting assigned trade lanes. Prepare pricing reports, rate comparisons, quotation logs, and other ad-hoc reports as required. Qualifications: Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, pricing, or rate management is preferred. Knowledge of international shipping terms, Incoterms, air/ocean freight charges, and basic documentation is an advantage. Strong Excel, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. CargoWise experience is a strong asset. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple urgent pricing requests and deadlines.
