Freight Broker Account Manager
Installed Building ProductsWe are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Freight Broker Account Manager to manage existing house accounts and coordinate daily freight operations. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain relationships with existing customer accounts. Coordinate and schedule freight shipments from pickup through delivery. Source, negotiate, and book qualified carriers for customer loads. Track shipments and proactively communicate updates to customers and carriers. Resolve service issues, delays, and delivery exceptions in a timely manner. Ensure all load information is accurate within the TMS and internal systems. Monitor carrier performance and maintain compliance standards. Work closely with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure exceptional service. Verify load documentation and assist with billing and invoicing processes. Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and account growth. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, transportation, dispatching, or account management preferred, but not required. Experience using DAT, Truckstop, and Highway is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of carrier sourcing, load management, and freight operations. Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills. Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS). Freight brokerage experience: Freight brokerage experience. Carrier sourcing and negotiation experience. Customer account management experience. Knowledge of truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and freight operations. Physical Demands: This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a professional office environment. The employee must be able to remain seated for prolonged periods, operate a computer and other office equipment, and perform repetitive motions such as typing and mouse use. The role may occasionally require standing, walking, bending, and lifting light office supplies up to 15 pounds. The employee must have sufficient visual acuity to read printed materials and electronic displays, and sufficient hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone.
