Freight Broker

Job Description Insight Global's Client is seeking a motivated Freight Broker to build and manage a profitable book of business while overseeing the full freight lifecycle from customer acquisition through delivery. This role is highly focused on business development and relationship management within a fast-paced transportation environment. The ideal candidate is competitive, coachable, and operates with a high level of integrity. Required Skills & Experience 2-5 years of freight brokerage, logistics, transportation sales, or related sales experience preferred. Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proven professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic. Experience in consultative sales environments such as insurance, heavy equipment, towing/recovery, or transportation is a plus. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Nice to Have Skills & Experience Demonstrates integrity, competitiveness, and coachability. Has a stable work history and strong professional presence. Thrives in a metrics-driven sales environment. Driven to build a book of business and grow long-term customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop new shipper relationships through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and referrals. Secure carrier capacity and build strong carrier partnerships. Manage freight from pickup through delivery, ensuring excellent customer service. Negotiate buy and sell rates while maximizing profitability. Track shipments, resolve service issues, and maintain accurate load information. Manage customer accounts and drive revenue, margin, and load growth Base Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 Expected First-Year Earnings: $75,000 - $100,000+ Uncapped monthly commission based on gross margin performance: $0-$9,999 = 5% $10,000-$19,999 = 10% $20,000-$29,999 = 12% $30,000-$39,999 = 13% $40,000+ = 15% Schedule Fully onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
