Freight Associate

Job Summary Peets Bourbon Tours is seeking a reliable and organized Freight Service Associate to assist with transportation, freight coordination, and daily service operations. The successful candidate will support shipment handling, maintain accurate records, communicate with drivers and customers, and help ensure freight-related tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Assist with receiving, organizing, loading, and unloading freight as assigned. Coordinate freight pickups, deliveries, and transportation schedules. Verify shipment information, labels, and related documentation. Communicate with drivers, customers, and team members regarding shipment updates. Track freight movements and report delays, damaged items, or service issues. Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and transportation activities. Keep freight storage and handling areas clean and organized. Follow company procedures and applicable transportation and workplace safety requirements. Respond professionally to routine customer questions and service requests. Provide general support for daily transportation and logistics operations. Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in freight handling, shipping, receiving, logistics, or transportation is an advantage. Strong communication and organizational skills. Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team. Physical ability to perform assigned freight-handling tasks safely. Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail. Commitment to providing professional and reliable service. Work Environment This position may involve working in warehouse areas, transportation facilities, loading zones, and office settings. Duties may include standing, walking, and handling freight during scheduled operations.
