Freight Agent Manager

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Agent Manager to lead our freight operations. This role is responsible for managing and growing a book of business within the freight industry, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate must bring an existing book of business and possess strong leadership skills to oversee daily operations, develop client relationships, and expand market presence. Duties Manage and oversee daily freight operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Maintain and grow an existing book of business by leveraging established client relationships and developing new opportunities. Lead, motivate, and support a team of freight agents to meet sales targets and operational goals. Develop strategic plans to expand market share and increase revenue streams within the freight sector. Coordinate with logistics, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication and service excellence. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to freight transportation. Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members to foster professional growth. Qualifications Proven experience in freight or logistics management with a strong track record of sales success. MUST BRING A BOOK OF BUSINESS—existing client relationships are essential for this role. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop strategic plans and execute them effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of freight regulations, transportation procedures, and industry standards. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development and client retention.
