Formal Wear Backroom Production Associate
Mr. TuxOverview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Formal Wear Backroom Production Associate to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our formal wear inventory, focusing on organizing, assembling, and preparing garments for rental purposes. The ideal candidate will have retail store experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of men's formal wear styles, rental processes, and garment handling is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in garment preparation, sewing, pressing, and inventory management. Responsibilities Organize and maintain formal wear inventory in the backroom to ensure easy access and proper storage Match garments with production tickets accurately for order fulfillment Assemble clothing items and place them into garment bags for rental Assist with pressing and minor sewing repairs on garments as needed; knowledge of sewing is a plus Ensure all garments are correctly labeled and prepared according to company standards Handle heavy lifting of garments and inventory, typically ranging from 15 to 25 pounds Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely processing of garments Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment Experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in retail store operations or garment handling Prior experience with men's formal wear styles or rental/retail environments is preferred Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently (15 to 25 pounds) Strong manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for garment assembly and handling Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and task coordination Quick learner with a proactive attitude who can adapt swiftly to changing priorities This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about fashion, garment care, and customer service within the formal wear industry.
