Forklift Yard Operator

Job Title: Forklift Yard Department: Receiving Reports to: Receiving Supervisor Starting Rate: $20.50 Location : San Juan Bautista CA and Yuma, AZ GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Forklift Yard Operator is in charge of dumping all garbage, recycling and culls, as well as incoming carton loads. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Separate broken pallets from usable pallets Sort all totes by size and type Cover all carton with plastic Dump all trash binds in the garbage containers Keep work area clean and organized. Must make sure that all material is free of dirt, mud and is in good condition before entering the plant. Assist any forklift driver both insider the cooler and the yard in stacking and/or clean up when needed or required by the supervisor. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: (none) Minimum Experience required: 6 months of forklift experience OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Able to travel/relocate as required PHYSICAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: Forklift Yard Typical Working Conditions : (Describe environment including exposure to hear, cold, fumes, chemicals, allergens, mold, etc.) Work around people and moving machinery and trucks.
