Forklift Trainer

What You'll Do As a Forklift Trainer, you will help ensure employees operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting forklift and MHE training sessions at various client locations. Training employees on equipment such as stand-up counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, walkies, and other material handling equipment. Applying effective adult learning principles to deliver clear, engaging, and practical training. Following applicable MHE legislation, occupational health and safety standards, warehouse procedures, and other relevant regulations. Maintaining accurate training records and completing data entry and documentation. Working independently while collaborating with team members to meet training requirements. Promoting safe work practices and addressing training-related challenges professionally. Travelling to different client locations and working various shifts as required. Working in different warehouse environments, including cold storage facilities with temperatures ranging from 0°C to -30°C. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Minimum 5 years of Material Handling Equipment experience , including stand-up counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, walkies, and similar equipment. MHE Train-the-Trainer certification , or willingness to complete the required training. Experience with wireless RF systems, including voice picking, is considered an asset. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent presentation, instructional, and facilitation abilities. Knowledge of MHE safety regulations, warehouse operations, and applicable health and safety standards. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in recordkeeping. A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally with employees at all levels. Flexibility to work different shifts and travel to various client locations. Willingness to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months. Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures, including cold storage environments ranging from 0°C to -30°C.
