Location: Auburn, Alabama Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Automotive Manufacturing Work Schedule Monday through Friday 12-hour shifts 2nd Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Pay $15.50 per hour Weekly pay Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator working the Night Shift at a leading automotive parts manufacturing facility! You will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and forklifts, to efficiently load, unload, and organize automotive parts. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, lift trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to move materials throughout the facility Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA and safety standards in production environments Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal operation and safety compliance Manage inventory by accurately scanning barcodes, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and performing regular stock counts Assist with order picking and packing processes to ensure accurate shipment of automotive parts to customers or distribution centers Follow warehouse safety protocols including manual handling procedures and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injuries Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound/outbound shipments and maintaining detailed logs Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklift trucks, and pallet jacks Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics accuracy Knowledge of OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols to promote a safe working environment Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and shipment measurements Skilled in materials handling, manual handling techniques, and heavy equipment operation Experience with warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving workflows Familiarity with inventory management practices and warehouse operations standards Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards in production environments Join us now to become an essential part of our fast-moving automotive parts manufacturing team!
