Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator and Warehouse Worker, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient distribution operations. Duties Safely operate a range of material handling equipment including forklifts (gas & electric), reach trucks, pickers, stackers, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. Perform order picking and items restock using barcode scanning systems to accurately fulfill customer orders and internal requests. Manage inventory levels through regular stock counts, data entry into warehouse management systems (WMS), and proper storage techniques. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy materials safely following OSHA guidelines and warehouse safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety standards in production and warehouse operations. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Qualifications Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (including reach trucks, stackers, pickers), pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks consistently while maintaining safety standards. Basic math skills for measurements, inventory counts, and data entry accuracy. Prior experience in shipping & receiving or materials handling is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team.
