Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of materials throughout the facility. This role is crucial for ensuring timely shipping and receiving processes while maintaining a high standard of safety and organization. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials from trucks and containers. Perform order picking using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all materials are properly documented and stored. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment. Support other warehouse functions as needed, including materials handling and inventory management. Clamp experience will be a plus for this warehouse. Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related fields is preferred. Proficient in operating forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking processes. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Experience with shipping & receiving operations is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards is essential. Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role is advantageous but not required.
