Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

Job Overview We are seeking a safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and rig to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, materials handling, and safety protocols to ensure smooth operations and maintain a safe working environment. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, order pickers, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory and process orders. Perform order picking, shipping, and receiving tasks with precision and efficiency. Load and unload materials using pallet jacks, cranes, or other mechanical equipment. Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and organization of warehouse storage areas. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow OSHA guidelines and safety procedures during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations at all times. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment within a warehouse or construction setting. Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and order picking techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) regularly throughout shifts. OSHA certification or knowledge of OSHA safety standards is preferred. Previous experience in materials handling, construction environments, or warehouse supervision is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Valid certification for forklift operation; relevant licenses are required where applicable.
