Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate

About the Role Dealers Industrial Equipment, LLC is looking for a reliable, hardworking Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our team in Hillside, NJ. This position combines forklift operation with hands-on warehouse management, including organizing inventory, receiving shipments, picking orders, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with physical work, and capable of working independently to keep daily warehouse operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Operate a sit-down forklift and manual or electric pallet jacks safely to load, unload, move, and organize inventory. Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect materials for damage. Pick, pull, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Organize warehouse inventory and maintain accurate product locations. Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards. Assist with shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and general material handling. Monitor inventory and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or low stock. Ensure outgoing orders are accurate and properly prepared for shipment. Assist with general warehouse duties and other tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous warehouse and sit-down forklift operating experience required. Ability to safely operate a forklift and pallet jacks. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and move heavy items as required. Basic math skills and the ability to verify quantities and orders. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Willingness to perform hands-on warehouse work throughout the workday. Ability to follow workplace safety procedures. Language Requirements Must be able to speak, read, and understand English sufficiently to follow workplace instructions, communicate with coworkers, understand shipping documents, and follow forklift safety procedures. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time position. Paid time off. Paid sick time. Free parking.
