Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate Company: Granimport USA Job Type: Full-time, nonexempt Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1/2-hour lunch), with overtime as needed and approved by a supervisor Pay: $16.25 per hour Job Summary Granimport USA is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for safely operating an industrial forklift, transporting materials throughout the facility, assisting with inventory movement, maintaining organized work areas, and supporting shipping, receiving, and warehouse cleanliness. Key Responsibilities Operate a forklift safely to move materials to and from loading docks, trucks, storage areas, production areas, and other assigned locations. Review production schedules and shipping orders to identify, verify, and transport raw materials, equipment, or processing materials. Load, secure, transport, and unload materials while following safety guidelines and warehouse procedures. Use protective materials and strapping equipment to secure loads, then remove and dispose of wrapping or waste materials properly after delivery. Report missing, lost, damaged, or transportation-related issues to the supervisor. Stack and organize drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in assigned areas. Monitor equipment condition and report mechanical or electrical concerns as needed. Maintain inventory records for merchandise entering or leaving the warehouse. Assist with regular cleaning, deep cleaning, and organization of warehouse areas, common areas, and workspaces. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications Basic math, language, and reading skills. Ability to operate equipment and vehicles safely and responsibly. Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license. Forklift certification required, or ability to satisfactorily complete forklift driving training and/or demonstrate safe forklift operation during an on-site test. Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and organization. Ability to follow instructions and communicate warehouse issues promptly to a supervisor. Physical Requirements Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness in an active warehouse environment. Must be able to move and lift up to 40 pounds, including wooden skids or pallets. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform warehouse tasks throughout the shift. Benefits Paid Time Off: Five days per year, available after six months of employment. Sick Time: Three sick days annually. Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
