Forklift Operator / Warehouse

Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent sit-down forklift operator to efficiently and safely transport materials within our facilities. The role involves operating a forklift in warehouses, storage areas, and other company premises. The ideal candidate will be a responsible individual with significant experience in driving industrial vehicles, ensuring that materials and products are always optimally positioned for maximum efficiency. Duties/Responsibilities: Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials, equipment, or processing materials accordingly. Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places. Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items. Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas. Reports any problems with materials or transportation to the supervisor. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines. Performs other related duties as requested. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly. Education and Experience Proven experience of at least 6 to 9 months as a forklift operator. Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish) Physical Requirements: Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness. Must be able to move and lift up to 40-pound wooden skid or pallet.
