Forklift Operator/ Shop Helper

We are looking for a responsible forklift operator to load and unload commercial trucks. You will be expected to exercise the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job will involve driving around the warehouse, storage spaces and other facilities. You must have experience in driving industrial vehicles. You may need to physically move things onto your fork, and you will always be responsible for ensuring your load is centered and stacked properly. Responsibilities Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities. Skills Proven experience as forklift operator. Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent physical condition and coordination. Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus.
