Forklift Operator/Shipping and Receiving clerk

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Performs receiving functions, unloads trailers, verifies freight bills, identifies and counts inventory, palletizes cartons, completes documentation and puts inventory into the storage area. Handling, and processing shipment to specifications for USPS, UPS, FED Ex and DHL Determine the shipping cost of individual orders, the shipping method, produce shipping labels. Track and report the cost of shipments Processes inventory for distribution. Operates forklifts (gas and electric), cherry pickers and hand jacks. Handles dock plate. May handle chemical products with HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials) and OSHA requirements. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalent 6 months previous experience in Shipping and Receiving 6 months previous experience operating a forklift and cherry pickers Ability to speak, read, write and understand English Must have a current valid driver's license Good computer skills, Shopify experience is a plus Good attention to detail Time management—well organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail with strong sense of urgency. Strong customer satisfaction orientation and commitment to 1st –time product quality. Strong team player; Demonstrate respect for the potential and significance of every individual on the team. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an entire shift This is a seasonal position with the potential to become permanent. Shift is Monday through Friday 6 AM to 4:30 PM with weekend overtime possible. Pay rate is $18.00 an hour Pay: $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week Benefits: Employee assistance program Paid time off Work Location: In person
