Market Speed LogisticsJOB TITLE Forklift Operator – Part Time OVERVIEW The Part Time Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating warehouse equipment to move, store, replenish, and stage inventory throughout the operation. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations during one of the operation's busiest production periods. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe and accurate movement of products and materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the needs of multiple departments. The associate will operate a variety of powered industrial trucks, including Reach Trucks, Cherry Pickers, Sit-Down Forklifts, and Electric Pallet Jacks, as needed. Please note: This is a part-time role currently payrolled through a staffing agency, but you will report directly to the Market Speed Logistics team each day. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate Reach Trucks, Cherry Pickers, Sit-Down Forklifts, and Electric Pallet Jacks to move products and materials throughout the warehouse. Accurately receive, stock, replenish, pick, stage, and transport inventory based on pick tickets and system instructions. Load and unload trailers and assist in staging outbound shipments for various carriers. Carefully handle health and beauty products, paying close attention to product condition, batch codes, and expiration dates. Complete inventory putaways and replenish pick lines as needed to maintain inventory availability and support order fulfillment. Recognize and report product damage, shortages, or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate Lead or Manager. Perform daily equipment inspections and operate machinery in accordance with established safety procedures and OSHA standards. Assist with physical inventories, inventory counting, and reconciliation as needed. Support multiple departments by moving inventory and materials where needed to maintain workflow and meet operational deadlines. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and daily tasks. Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area at all times. Communicate effectively with Management Team regarding operational issues, equipment concerns, or inventory discrepancies. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Warehouse Manager. REQUIRED SKILLS At least 2 years of hands-on experience operating warehouse equipment including Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, and Electric Pallet Jack. Must have reliable transportation to our Cranbury, NJ facility. Strong attention to detail with a safety-first mindset, especially when handling products with expiration dates. Ability to read and follow written instructions, pick tickets, and labels in English. Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment. Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), bend, and operate equipment for extended periods. Dependable attendance and a proactive approach to communication. Team player who is adaptable and ready to support various departments across the operation. Experience using RF scanners. Positive, professional attitude and a strong work ethic. PREFERRED SKILLS Experience working with beauty or health-related products. Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse software. Previous experience in a 3PL (third-party logistics) environment. OTHER INFORMATION This is a part-time position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Additional hours may occasionally be available based on business needs and employee availability. This role requires the ability to lift and carry items, bend, stand, and operate warehouse equipment as necessary. The environmental characteristic for this position is a warehouse/manufacturing setting. Candidates should be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and comply with applicable OSHA safety standards.
