Forklift Operator/Order Picker

Overview Join our client's dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator and Order Picker, where your energy and precision will drive our logistics operations forward! In this vital role, you'll be responsible for efficiently handling inventory, safely operating various types of forklifts (Order Picker / Raymond Reach) and accurately picking and preparing orders for shipment. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, including order picker and reach, to move materials throughout the warehouse Perform accurate order picking based on detailed shipping lists using warehouse management systems Conduct heavy lifting tasks to load, unload, and organize inventory efficiently Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and verifying product locations Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to maintain a secure work environment Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution workflows and improve overall efficiency Experience Prior experience operating forklifts, especially order pickers and reach trucks, in a warehouse setting is preferred Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately Mechanical aptitude to understand equipment functions and perform basic inspections Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems (WMS / RF Scanners) Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts Familiarity with order picking procedures and warehouse safety standards Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a high-energy logistics team.
