Forklift Operator/Material Handler Structural Steel

Responsibilities Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming steel and other materials against packing slips and purchase orders. Operate forklifts to safely move steel plate, beams, tubing, and other materials. Stage and deliver material to CNC machines, lasers, saws, and other fabrication equipment. Keep machines supplied with the correct material to minimize downtime. Organize and maintain steel inventory, material racks, and storage areas. Accurately identify, label, and track material throughout the shop. Coordinate with machine operators, purchasing, and shop management to prioritize material needs. Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed. Qualifications Previous forklift experience required. Experience handling structural steel or heavy industrial materials strongly preferred. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to read material tags, dimensions, and basic paperwork. Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision. Ability to safely work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to pass required pre-employment screening.
