Forklift Operator/Material Handler/Machine Operator
Spiegel Architectural WoodworksWe are looking for a careful forklift operator to move lumber around our shop. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. We will be also teaching you how to use a Rip Saw to rip lumber to the correct dimensions. Responsibilities Unload lumber from incoming trucks and stack them to assigned places Locate and move lumber or pallets or crates for storage or shipment Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies Transport raw materials to production workstations Rip lumber to correct dimensions for our Moulder. Make sure the Moulder has what he needs to do his job correctly and efficiently. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs Comply with company policies and legal guidelines Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities Skills Proven experience as forklift operator Woodworking Experience Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment Excellent physical condition and coordination Valid certification to operate forklifts High school diploma Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) matching Health savings account Paid time off Parental leave Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Woodworking: 1 year (Preferred) Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Forklift Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
