Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Duties Safely operate a variety of equipment such as forklifts, r, pallet jacks, to load and unload shipments. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and precise order picking to fulfill warehouse distribution needs. Manage inventory using barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems to track stock levels accurately. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. Maintain safety standards in production by adhering to OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols during all equipment operation. Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance issues promptly to ensure optimal functionality of all material handling tools. Support warehouse operations through order picking, load & unload activities, barcode scanning for logistics accuracy, and general materials handling. Experience Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management procedures, and shipping & receiving protocols. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments such as OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling. Prior experience with warehouse supervision or leading small teams is a plus but not required. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and shipment verification. Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during high-volume tasks. Experience with barcode scanning technology for logistics accuracy is preferred.
