Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Seaside Mulch manufactures and packages mulch and soil products. For over 30 years, we have been a leader in lawn and garden products. The Seaside Mulch brand is available in box stores, and Seaside Mulch is known for its quality products and innovation. We are looking for forklift operators for our manufacturing plant. Candidates must be motivated and dependable. Responsibilities: Operating forklifts and other packaging machinery Loading and unloading trucks Sort, organize, arrange and move palletized goods Load machinery with empty pallets Counting and measuring raw and finished goods Routine maintenance and repairs of machines Assist packaging team with changeovers and clean up Maintain a clean and safe work area Minimize costs and waste Perform other work-related duties as assigned Inspect finished products for defects to ensure quality Skills: Ability to understand machine operation and maintenance manuals Follow and document quality control procedures Understand and follow all safety precautions Maintenance experience with mechanical aptitude a plus Experience with forklifts, robotics, automation and/or warehouse experience a plus Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Organization and attention to detail Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to climb and descend ladders Physical ability to complete job duties, which may include standing for long periods, working in a space that lacks climate control or lifting objects Ability to follow directions accurately Attention to detail and organization skills Full-time.
