Forklift Operator/Material Handler

We currently have an opportunity available for a Forklift Operator/Material Handler . Essential Duties include: Pull material for work orders and deliver to support production and facility operations. Loads and unloads materials onto or from racks or shelves. Consolidates, tracks and disposes of scrap. Manage hazardous waste collection, documentation and removal in compliance with environmental and company requirements. Safe operation of all power operated lift trucks. Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks. Sort and label freight and place in proper locations. Perform inventory count based on packing slips when loading and unloading freight and when loading and unloading shipments and returns. Maintain excellent housekeeping in work centers, racks and dock area. Ensure 100% accuracy is maintained when performing any Material Handling transaction. Identify and communicate all production, quality, housekeeping and safety issues to Management. May be asked to make pickups and deliveries from and to outside vendors which requires a safe driving record and applicable certifications to drive any size straight truck. Candidates interested in this position should possess: High school diploma or GED preferred. 1-3 years of in shipping/receiving/warehouse functions preferred. Forklift license. Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a team setting and a desire to learn new things. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Valid drivers license.
