Forklift Operator / Material Handler — Active Secret Clearance required

The Forklift Operator / Material Handler operates material handling equipment, maintains inventory accountability, and supports receiving, storage, and shipment activities in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements. This position requires attention to detail, operational discipline, and the ability to execute assigned tasks in a mission-focused environment. Mandatory Security Clearance Requirement An active Secret security clearance is required at the time of application. Applicants who do not currently hold an active Secret clearance must not apply. The ability to obtain a clearance does not satisfy this requirement. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operate forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other authorized material handling equipment in accordance with established operating procedures and OSHA safety standards. Execute loading, unloading, movement, staging, and storage of materials to support daily logistics requirements. Maintain inventory accountability through barcode scanning, accurate transaction entries, and updates to the warehouse management system (WMS). Perform order picking and fulfillment, verifying item identification and quantities before shipment or storage. Verify inbound and outbound shipments against supporting documentation; identify and report discrepancies. Ensure materials are properly labeled, stacked, secured, and stored in designated locations. Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform authorized minor maintenance, and promptly report equipment deficiencies or repair requirements. Maintain orderly work areas and clear access routes in accordance with established housekeeping and safety procedures. Coordinate with warehouse personnel and supervisors to meet operational priorities and assigned timelines. Promptly report safety hazards, damaged materials, and inventory discrepancies through established reporting channels. Required Qualifications Current, active Secret security clearance. Demonstrated experience operating forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment. Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and forklift operating protocols. Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and barcode scanning equipment. Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and manual material handling as required. Basic math skills to support inventory counts, measurements, and accurate documentation. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to material accountability. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and execute assigned tasks safely and accurately. Preferred Qualifications Current Forklift Certification. Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving, or logistics operations.
