Forklift Operator/Material Handler

This position is located in Jacksonville, FL. Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials throughout the warehouse. The Material Handler will operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, assist with shipping and receiving activities, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure materials are properly organized and handled. Attention to detail, safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment are essential to this position. Duties Operate forklift to load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, and storage areas. Move materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping orders or to other designated areas using forklift. Sort and place materials or items on racks/shelves according to procedures Receive and inspect incoming materials and products for quality, quantity, and accuracy of shipment. Marking containers or pallets with tags that identify the parts with the Customer’s P.O. Perform quality inspections and inventory of finished Customer order prior to packaging and report any discrepancies, defective materials, or conditions found to immediate Supervisor Maintaining general cleanliness and organization of dock and work areas Willingness to perform any other related duties assigned by immediate Supervisor Qualifications Minimum 2 years of forklift and experience in a warehouse environment Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Must be punctual and reliable Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Compensation: $16-17.00/hour Why Join S+S Industries?
