Forklift Operator/Material Handler

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Material Handler to support our warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for safely operating a forklift to transport parts, materials, and components from the warehouse to designated shop and production areas to ensure materials are available when needed and production demands are met. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities may change based on production needs. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport parts and materials throughout the facility. Route parts and components from the warehouse to appropriate shop and production areas based on production needs. Ensure production teams receive the correct materials in a timely manner to prevent delays. Pick up and return unused materials, components, and other items to designated warehouse locations as needed. Load, unload, move, stage, and organize materials safely and efficiently. Verify part numbers, quantities, and destinations before delivering materials. Communicate with Warehouse, Production, and shop personnel regarding material needs, shortages, priorities, and delivery requirements. Maintain organized staging and material storage areas. Perform routine pre-use inspections of forklifts and report any equipment or safety concerns. Follow established forklift, warehouse, and facility safety procedures at all times. Assist with general warehouse and material-handling duties as production demands require. Maintain accurate movement and handling of materials to support inventory accuracy. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred. Ability to safely and confidently operate a forklift in active warehouse and production areas. Previous material handling, warehouse, or production support experience preferred. Ability to identify and verify part numbers, quantities, and material locations. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize material deliveries based on production demands. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with Warehouse and Production teams. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse and material-handling operations.
