Forklift Operator/Material Handler

In this vital role, you will operate various types of material handling equipment—including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks—to load, unload, and organize inventory. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety standards will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes, supporting our commitment to timely shipping and receiving. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments efficiently. Conduct manual handling of materials with proper techniques to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols. Manage inventory accuracy through barcode scanning for logistics and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS). Assist in order picking and order fulfillment by accurately selecting items using equipment such as order pickers and ensuring correct quantities are loaded for shipment. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by properly stacking pallets, managing storage areas, and performing routine equipment repairs when necessary. Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying shipments against documentation, recording inbound/outbound data, and ensuring proper labeling. Follow all safety standards in production and warehouse operations to minimize risks associated with heavy lifting and equipment use. Qualifications Proven experience operating warehouse materials handling equipment such as forklifts (including lift trucks), reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory management practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards related to forklift safety protocols and warehouse operations. Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution environments is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to support efficient warehouse management.
