Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and efficient materials handling. This position offers the opportunity to manage inventory, and support shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional service and streamline our distribution efforts. This position is a 5pm start until the work is complete which is typically 10-12 hours a day. Duties Safely operate warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport materials Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct manual handling of materials with proper techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or repetitive tasks. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to OSHA standards, forklift safety procedures, and warehouse safety standards in production environments. Assist with equipment repair or troubleshooting minor issues to ensure optimal operation of all material handling tools. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts Strong knowledge of warehouse management Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following manual handling procedures. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory data. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to warehouse operations. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
