Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, where your expertise will drive efficiency and safety in our warehouse operations. In this vital role, you will operate various types of material handling equipment, including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo trucks, to load, unload, and organize inventory. Your keen attention to safety standards and warehouse management practices will ensure smooth distribution processes and accurate inventory control. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift trucks such as reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload shipments efficiently. Manage inventory through barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and utilize warehouse management systems to track stock levels. Pick orders accurately using order picker equipment and manual handling techniques to fulfill shipping requests promptly. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by properly stacking pallets and materials in designated areas. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety protocols. Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries. Support warehouse distribution efforts by adhering to safety standards in production and following all warehouse safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift trucks and pallet jacks), clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo machinery. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology for logistics, and inventory management procedures. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, forklift safety protocols, manual handling techniques, and heavy equipment operation standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during order picking and load/unload tasks. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and verifying shipment quantities. Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution environments is highly desirable. Strong commitment to safety standards in production environments combined with excellent materials handling skills.
