Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment and forklifts, to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, inventory control, and safety protocols will ensure smooth warehouse operations and accurate order fulfillment. Duties Operate a variety of material handling equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo lifts to load and unload shipments with precision. Safely handle materials by following OSHA and warehouse safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Manage inventory through barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and update warehouse management systems regularly. Assist with order picking and packing processes to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring proper stacking and storage of goods in designated areas. Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to maintain optimal operation of forklifts and other machinery. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound/outbound shipments against documentation and maintaining detailed logs. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklift equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo lifts within a warehouse environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory management, order picking, shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics accuracy. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required. Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
