Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Overview As a Forklift Operator/Material Handler, you’ll keep warehouse operations moving by safely staging and organizing materials. You’ll support inventory management and shipping and receiving while following forklift safety protocols and production safety standards. Your impact: Accurate, safe material movement helps warehouse teams fulfill orders and keep shipments on schedule. Responsibilities Load and unload drop deck trailers using a forklift Pick, package, and stage orders for shipment Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy Maintain accurate inventory and storage locations Perform daily forklift inspections Work effectively with team members in a collaborative environment Adhere to all company policies, work rules, and operating procedures Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and procedures Perform the physical requirements of the job, including frequent sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, climbing, and regularly lifting up to 50 pounds Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail Previous forklift operating experience preferred, but training provided Keeps management aware of any delays or discrepancies Stable, full-time employment Qualifications Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment; experience with heavy equipment operation is an asset. Basic math skills and the ability to follow safety standards in production are required.
