Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Forklift Operator / Inventory Control Specialist to support daily warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment while also assisting with inventory control, product tracking, organization, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance physical warehouse responsibilities with inventory-related tasks. This position plays an important role in ensuring materials are properly received, stored, tracked, moved, and accounted for throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility. Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks while ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. Move materials to designated warehouse, production, staging, and shipping areas. Assist with receiving incoming materials and verifying quantities against shipping or receiving documentation. Accurately identify, label, and track inventory throughout the facility. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical inventories. Investigate and report inventory discrepancies and assist with correcting inventory records. Ensure materials are stored in the proper locations and that inventory areas remain organized and clearly identified. Enter or update inventory information in the company's inventory system as required. Work closely with warehouse, production, receiving, shipping, and management teams to maintain accurate inventory levels. Stage materials and products based on production, shipping, or operational needs. Assist with locating missing or misplaced inventory. Monitor inventory movement and communicate shortages, overages, or discrepancies to management. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work environment. Complete daily forklift inspections and report any equipment damage or maintenance concerns. Follow all company safety procedures, warehouse policies, and forklift operating requirements. Assist in other warehouse, production, receiving, or shipping duties as needed. Qualifications Previous forklift operating experience preferred. Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy warehouse or production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems. Ability to read and understand inventory labels, shipping documents, and work instructions. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments. Dependable attendance and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to safely lift and move materials as required by the position. Ability to frequently enter and exit forklift equipment. Ability to work in a warehouse and production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
