Forklift Operator

Shift A-Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5 am - 5 pm B-Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5 pm - 5 am (20% shift differential on all hours worked on nights) Accountability This position is primarily responsible for the movement of materials throughout the facility. Principal Accountabilities Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors or trucks manually or using mechanized equipment. Delivers metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining, using electric or hydraulic pallet movers, hoists, forklifts or overhead cranes. Maintains organized warehousing operation so that designated material can be located quickly and delivered to machining centers at optimum efficiency. Unloads incoming freight received at loading. Maintains good communications with all departments to ensure proper movement of materials throughout the shop. As requested, ensures incoming shipments are tagged properly and directed to the correct storage locations. Organizes components, machining equipment, fixtures, pallets, cages, boxes and other material to maximize warehousing efficiencies. Assures accurate warehousing transactions as well as informs Finishing Supervisor of transactions that may require management decisions.
