Forklift Operator/ Delivery Driver

Job Overview: We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator/ Material Handler who will also handle local delivery driving for 20% to 30% of the workweek. This hybrid role is perfect for a warehouse professional with a valid CDL Class B license who enjoys a mix of indoor material handling and short regional routes, ensuring you are home daily. Purpose: To perform a combination of material handler/forklift operator duties related to the shipping/receiving department and to support the shipping functions of CDM’s operations in order to ensure 100% on-time delivery to the customers. Essential Duties/ Responsibilities*: Operate forklifts in a safe and responsible manner. Coordinate the loading and unloading of material. Receive all incoming material from OSP. Maintain and organize all pallets, boxes, and cardboard. Proper use of packing slips, P.O. numbers, and labels. Storing, moving, weighing, and retrieving WIP properly. Create and print labels. Proper use of the beamers, including transferring of parts from warehouses. Properly package and load outgoing material, and prepare pallets/containers for shipment according to Job Traveler instructions. Safely transport materials/supplies using company provided vehicles. Load/unload trucks in a safe and responsible manner. Comply with CDM’s PPE guidelines including utilizing gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection as required. * This job description documents the general nature and level of work, but is not intended to be a comprehensive and all-inclusive list of activities, duties and responsibilities required of this position. Clean driving record and compliance with DOT regulations. Proven experience safely operating forklifts and handling industrial materials. Ability to pass CDM forklift certification. Ability to use beamer system and other related computer systems. Ability to read and write English. Ability to work in a team environment/excellent interpersonal skills. Must be willing to work evenings/weekends (on as needed basis).
