Forklift Operator Days

Position Purpose:
The Forklift Operator prepares loads and unloads building materials in the warehouse through the safe operation of a lift truck. Together with other team members the Forklift Operator works to exceed customer expectations.

• Build orders to required specifications for delivery. Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner. Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials.
• Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands.
• Maintain contact with supervisors and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers. Follow all regulations company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Basic Qualifications Valid forklift certification (propane).
• Minimum of two years experience.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Sitting and driving for longs periods of time.
• Frequently climbing up and down stairs. Pulling pushing bending and torso twisting movementswith weight.
The (range of) compensation for this position is $20.77 to $24.09
