Forklift Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to support warehouse and distribution operations at Gallant Sales Potato Equipment, a company specializing in potato handling and agricultural equipment. The role involves moving, storing, and retrieving equipment, spare parts, and materials; preparing orders for shipment; and maintaining accurate inventory records. Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and following established safety and operating procedures. Duties Operate a forklift and, as needed, a clamp truck or order picker to move, load, unload, and stage agricultural equipment, spare parts, and warehouse materials. Pick, verify, and prepare equipment and parts orders for shipment using order documents and warehouse systems. Receive, store, and replenish inventory while keeping equipment, parts, and materials organized and accessible. Use a warehouse management system to record transactions, update inventory, and confirm order details. Perform routine forklift and equipment checks and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and follow established safety procedures. Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and distribution team members to support daily operations and ensure timely order fulfillment. Skills Previous experience in warehouse distribution and forklift operation preferred; experience handling agricultural equipment or industrial parts is an advantage. Familiarity with order picking, inventory management, shipping, and receiving procedures. Basic math skills for counting parts, verifying quantities, and checking order information. Ability to safely lift and handle materials and perform physical tasks throughout a shift. Basic mechanical knowledge helpful for recognizing equipment issues and completing routine inspections. Strong attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and commitment to workplace safety.
