Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely handling materials, managing inventory, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts and related equipment will ensure smooth distribution processes and contribute to our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly. Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as order picking, stacking, and organizing inventory according to company standards. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements accurately and update records in real-time. Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries or accidents. Support the use of mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and maintaining operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to optimize space utilization and streamline order fulfillment processes. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution environments with a focus on forklift operation. Certification in forklift operation, including clamp truck handling and order picker use. Strong mechanical knowledge to understand equipment functionality and perform basic troubleshooting. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing.
