The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to transport, store, retrieve, and rotate product throughout the warehouse. This position supports inventory accuracy, product replenishment, shipping, receiving, and overall warehouse operations within a temperature-controlled environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a traditional forklift to transport pallets to, from, and within the warehouse. Put away, replenish, rotate, and retrieve inventory from reserve rack locations. Transport pallets from receiving docks to designated storage locations in the warehouse. Use handheld scanning devices and warehouse technology to accurately track inventory movements and replenishment activities. Pull products from inventory and deliver them to production lines as needed. Move finished products from production areas to designated storage locations. Retrieve finished products from storage and load them onto delivery trailers. Unload products and materials from inbound trailers. Stack, organize, and rotate merchandise to maintain proper inventory control and product freshness. Ensure inventory is stored in the correct warehouse locations and follows established rotation procedures. Inspect equipment before use and report any safety concerns or maintenance issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by sweeping assigned areas, cleaning spills, and reworking damaged product as necessary. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards. Previous forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow safety procedures. Basic computer and handheld scanner proficiency. Ability to lift, move, push, and pull products weighing up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and meet productivity expectations. Work Environment Temperature-controlled warehouse environment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment. May require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling based on operational needs.
