Forklift Operator
ConfidentialPosition Overview The operator shall provide qualified 10,000-pound (10K) forklift operation services to support daily operational requirements as directed by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). Duties and Responsibilities Operate a 10K forklift safely and efficiently in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, OSHA, and installation-specific regulations, policies, and safety requirements. Support a 12-hour daily operational window as directed by the COR. Maintain all required operator certifications, licenses, and qualifications. Comply with all site-specific safety procedures and operational instructions. Remain available to accommodate changes in operational requirements as directed by the COR. Work Schedule and On-Call Requirements For the first six (6) days of the contract, the operator shall be available to support the required operational schedule as directed by the COR. Following the initial six-day period, the operator shall transition to an on-call basis for the remainder of the contract. After the initial six-day period, the operator shall be available to report for duty upon receiving a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours’ advance notice from the COR. The operator shall accommodate changes in operational hours and requirements as directed by the COR, subject to the specified advance-notice requirement. Qualifications Must possess the training, certifications, and qualifications required to operate a 10K forklift. Must comply with all applicable Federal, State, OSHA, and installation-specific requirements. Must demonstrate the ability to operate material-handling equipment safely and professionally. Must be able to respond to scheduled and on-call operational requirements in accordance with the terms of the contract.
