Forklift Operator – Long Steel Pipe & Heavy Materials We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling long steel pipe, oversized materials, and heavy loads in a warehouse or industrial environment. This position requires an operator who understands the challenges of maneuvering long, heavy materials safely and efficiently, including maintaining load stability and working in confined spaces. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and store long steel pipe and other heavy, oversized materials. Maneuver long materials through warehouse and yard areas while maintaining control and load stability. Load and unload trucks accurately and safely. Ensure materials are properly positioned, secured, and stored to prevent shifting or damage. Assist with order picking, staging, and preparing materials for customer deliveries. Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment or safety concerns. Maintain an organized warehouse and yard. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures. Qualifications Previous forklift operating experience is required. Experience handling long steel pipe, steel products, or other long and oversized materials is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to safely maneuver long loads in tight spaces. Strong understanding of load balance, forklift capacity, and safe material handling. Valid forklift operator certification is required. Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
