Forklift operator

Overview The Forklift Operator supports safe, accurate movement of goods through warehouse distribution. This hands-on role involves operating material-handling equipment, completing order picking, and keeping inventory activity organized. You’ll work with warehouse colleagues to help orders move efficiently from storage to their next destination. Duties Operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and position materials safely throughout the warehouse. Use a clamp truck or order picker when appropriate to handle goods and fulfill order-picking tasks. Follow warehouse procedures, use the warehouse management system to record inventory movements, and check order details for accuracy. Apply basic math to verify quantities, and perform heavy lifting as needed while following safe handling practices. Your impact: Accurate, timely handling helps colleagues maintain reliable inventory flow and prepare orders correctly. Experience Required: Practical forklift operating ability, safe material handling, basic math, and the attention to detail needed to complete order picking and maintain accurate warehouse management system records. Mechanical knowledge supports equipment awareness and careful operation. Preferred: Experience in warehouse distribution, using a clamp truck or order picker, and working with warehouse management systems is helpful for adapting to varied goods, equipment, and order workflows.
