Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Your expertise will ensure the smooth movement of goods, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of materials throughout our distribution center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to warehouse operations that prioritize safety, accuracy, and productivity while supporting the overall logistics process. Responsibilities Safely operate a range of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards. Load and unload shipments efficiently using appropriate equipment while adhering to manual handling protocols for heavy lifting. Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately by utilizing barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems (WMS). Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and updating records within the warehouse management system. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipment contents against documentation and ensuring proper storage or dispatch. Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to maintain optimal operation of all material handling equipment. Follow warehouse safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for efficient storage and retrieval while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Experience Proven experience operating forklift trucks (including reach trucks, cherry pickers, Hi-Lo forklifts) in a warehouse or distribution environment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Previous experience in shipping & receiving processes, order picking, load & unload operations, and warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Strong manual handling skills combined with basic math proficiency for accurate inventory counts and measurements. Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management system administration is a plus but not required.
