Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The Shipping Operator is a key member of the Plant Distribution Center (PDC) at A&M Products in Spring Hill, KS. The PDC is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient management of finished goods inventory, ensuring products are properly stored, handled, and shipped to meet customer and business requirements. This position supports warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production operations through the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. The Shipping Operator is responsible for transporting raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility, loading and unloading trailers and railcars, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall flow of materials within the plant. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Schedule: Thursday-Saturday 4:30 PM - 5:00 AM In this role, you will: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in accordance with company policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Transport raw materials, packaging materials, and production supplies to and from manufacturing areas. Remove finished products from palletizing and production areas and transport them to designated warehouse storage locations. Load and unload raw materials, finished goods, equipment, and supplies from trucks, trailers, and railcars. Verify quantities, product identification, and load accuracy during shipping and receiving activities. Supply production lines with raw materials and packaging materials to support uninterrupted operations. Perform routine quality checks and inspections to ensure products and materials meet company standards. Accurately complete required paperwork, inventory transactions, production records, shipping documents, and electronic system entries. Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and material tracking. Conduct pre-shift and post-shift forklift inspections and report equipment issues promptly. Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks and routine care of material handling equipment as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through ongoing housekeeping activities. Follow all safety, quality, food safety (if applicable), environmental, and operational procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse personnel, maintenance teams, and production employees. Participate in required training programs and demonstrate competency in assigned job functions. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving department productivity goals. Prepare reports and assist with performance tracking as required. What we look for: Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment preferred. Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment. Basic math, reading, and documentation skills. Experience with inventory systems, scanners, or warehouse management systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed.
